Back half gram swap

Is it possible to take the back half of a
2000 Dodge Dakota 4 x 4  regular bad
Frame and swap it with a short bed frame
just using the back half

You can but the bolts will not line up. If you can figure a way to mount the bed then yes, dont weld it because you may need to get to the fuel pump at some point
