Help! What is the button to the right of the hazard button?!

Question type: General

This button has what looks like a picture of a padlock on it.  It does not push in, it just lights up randomly.  Not knowing what that "button" is for is driving me crazy! I checked out page 278 in manual as someone suggested. If it is the parental lock, what is it? And there is no way to change it as it doesn't push at all. And there is nowhere to use the 1234 code. Help? Anybody?

It should indicate that the passenger air bag is disabled. It disables if you place items on your passenger seat (or dog in my case) that is greater than (dont quote me) 25 lbs but less than 75 lbs. it's a child safety device.

It indicates that the doors are locked. I found this someplace in the owners manual. Lock you doors--light on. Unlock doors--light off.
