1992 Geo Tracker

Asked by algaetz Mar 17, 2013 at 05:14 PM about the 1992 Geo Tracker 2 Dr STD 4WD Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1992 Geo Tracker has a howl in the rear end.
Is it rear bearings-universals, gear box, etc.
The howl changes at different speeds. Standard. Why?

Check the gear oil in differential for starters. Then the transmission.

Might want to think about taking the vehicle to jiffy lube and every thing greased /topped off
