The veicle is titled as an Sti therefore insurance will be slightly higher accordingly.
However if the vehicle is totalled and you have proper coverage youd get paid for an Sti.

the WRX's are a great car but an 02 wrx is not gonna perform like the STI body it's reping so remember that, you'll probably never get any decent money out of selling the car as the title is salvaged. from my standpoint I say pass on it, if you want a wrx buy a clean wrx or if you want an sti buy a clean sti, not a salvaged mashup of the 2. one other thing to remember is that with a mods list like this, odds are the owner thrashed this car meaning more potential for issues down the road.

Thank you so much, like i was talking ot the guy he works for a nissan dealership as a mechanic and told me we can put it on a lift and look at everything throughly and i was going ot bring a mechanic down with me to look over the car. Or do you think it is just a waste of time. I need something for college cause the winters in frostburg are brutal and i want some power to enjoy the zooming around town.

in the long run it's up to you, definately have a mechanic of your own look at it if the guy is willing to let you, someone impartial with a good eye would be a great help to you. I do have to ask, how much do they want for the car?
