will a 2003 vrown vic police int engine fit in a 2001

i have a 2001 crown vic police intwith 225,700 on it  that I think I messed up the engine (lack of oil)  I have a friend who has a 2003 vic int and has 117,000  trying to find out how much stuff I m gonna get into if I can get this to fit

The engine will fit with no problems although, you will need to take everything off of the 01 and put it on the 03. In other words, you'll be swapping out Long Blocks - Oil pan and valve covers too.
