2002 Crown Vic interceptor will not start

If car sitting long period of time it will start right up run fine , roll down the highway just fine
lots of power then when you have got to your destination and shut it off it will not start
.Turn over no problem but will not fire .
If you leave it for a few days and come back it will start right up .

have the injectors tested. had this happen on a chev once and two of the injectors would get hot and not let the car start until they cooled, then run like a champ.
