Police interceptor-p71 motor swap

Asked by Dylan Jun 06, 2016 at 03:09 AM about the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 interceptor that blew the engine up and
also have a 2006 p71 that has been wrecked. I'm
curious if anyone knows if the 06 will work in my
98 or if I need to swap parts to make it work(wiring
harness mostly) any help would be great. I have
done a few 99-2000 motors but never an 06.

Change out everything Engine, Transmission, EECV control and complete harness and instrument cluster too... steering column yep! or disassemble so you have the correct ignition RFID key.

USE HARNESS WITH THE CAR. USE MANIFOLDS V. COVERS FROM CAR ONTO DONOR ENGINE. NO PCM SWAP 06 WONT WORK IN 98. 06 TRANS WONT WORK EITHER.
