Thud under feet/pedals when accelerating hard and going up hill in gear 2/3.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I hear and feel a thud under feet/pedals when accelerating hard and if going up
hill in gear 2/3 under 2000 RPM. It is like the car is missing a beat a couple of
times. Stops if i take my foot of hard acceleration.
Told dealer at recent service, they said all is good. But it isn't. Any thoughts?

It sounds like either have a bad motor or transmission mount. Just looking at them you can't tell if they are bad or not.
Thanks Peter. It's just been in for a service, and dealer mechanic couldn't find a problem. Would they normally check that? Thanks.
No not for a service, they usually just change the oil and whatever shows up on the maintenance schedule. Have a tech go with u and show them what it does. Since it's a manual u can't hold the brake and put it in reverse or drive and press the accelerator to see if the engine raises up. But I'd say u have a bad mount somewhere.

Hey Scott - did you find the problem? I have a 2012 Turbo with same issue and on diagnostics, quick inspection or at high speeds no problem can be detected? Mitch
Could be a transfer box problem. I had this on a 2014 S Diesel but fortunately a warranty sorted this out (very expensive) Symptoms sound the same.
