2014 Buick Lacrosse dies when I hit a bump or turn corners

Asked by Guru8HGTF Jan 02, 2020 at 01:27 AM about the 2014 Buick LaCrosse Premium I FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Buick Lacrosse completely dies without warning when I turn a corner or
hit a bump. The engine dies, steering wheel locks, brake pedal locks ups,
radio infotainment center freeze (can't use Onstar) and it will coast to a stop.
The first time it happened, by the time the tow truck came the car started up,
I thought maybe it was a fluke. Until it happened about two days later. When
I jump it, it doesn't always start right away. The battery is a week old, the
connectors are tight. It's a push start so when I push it there's nothing until it
decides it wants to start which may be 5 mins or 15hrs. There are no check
engine lights, no other dash lights. It almost seems electrical but I'm not sure.
Has anyone had similar problems and resolved it?

I have no answer for you, but my 2016 Buick Regal did the exact same thing yesterday. I hit a bump pretty hard, and the entire system shut down just like what you described. After I coasted to a stop, I was able to put it in park and the car started right away, so I didn't need a tow truck, but it's very odd to have the car just go dead like that. I f anyone has an answer to this, it would be greatly appreciated.
