I have a 2014 GMC Terrain. The rear lift gate opens, but won't stay open. After a minute or so it will slowly start closing. Back out of the way and it closes completely, and latches. It is a power type. What do i need to check or replace. The right is a shock type, the left has the power actuator attached. Is there a way to test which shock or whatever is defective? I have order replacement lift support kit #SG230177, (says for w/power lift) and both are the same. Help!

Thanks. The strut on the left side appears to have the power supply attached to it. It appears as one unit, or are they attached some way that I'm missing? Please advise as i ordered the struts that said for "w/ power lift". Received two of them. Thanks.
