Some new brake pads squeal loudly until they break in. Actually there is a "wear indicator" (a metal tab that drags on the rotor) that is supposed to make a metallic squeal when the pads are worn out. But if it doesn't diminish or stop in a few days, I would urge him look his work over to be sure something isn't wrong. Maybe he chose to not replace the rotors at the same time, which is okay IF they are still good. The bill should indicate rotors as "parts" replaced with the brake pads.

Hopefully he used the same brand of rotors and pads. This will cause squeaking if different brands are used. Also let’s hope he greased the correct areas of the brake pads and caliper contact points.

my 2014 focus sounded like an air leek from brake pedal. the power brakes use air from engine with a part called a brake booster. had that part replaced dealer part only....no problem since.
