Ford Focus 2014 computer problems
I just bought a 2012 Ford Focus last night
from a used car dealer. I took my fiance to
an appointment this morning that took
longer than expected. I sat in parking lot
with the radio on and the battery went dead.
We found someone with a jump box to help
so they jumped the car off for us. We got
about a mile down the road when the car
starting driving badly and a light came on
that said Transmission hot wait 5 min. We
pulled over waited 5 min and it said ready
but the car did same thing. We called dealer
they towed it and said because of the jump
it fried the computer. They told us we would
have to tow car to Ford dealer and have
computer reprogrammed at our expense.
Does this sound right? I don't feel that
simply jumping off a car should cause such
major problems especially at my expense
when I have had the car less than 24 hours.
