Change oil light will not go off on its own it has to be reset. All vehicles work different on how to reset light. Check in owners manual or if there is a dealership near you stop by and ask them I am sure they will not charge to show you how to reset light or go on line and google owners manual for your year , make and model.
Turn the key 'on' and make sure the odometer is on total mileage, not TRIP 'A' or 'B' Turn key off. Press the button and hold it down. Turn key ON, or RUN position (do not start engine) and hold the button down and you can watch it count to 4 lines, 3, 2, 1 0. Release the button. The light will be off.
The very first oil change is 5000 miles, but your Corolla specifies 0W20 synthetic and you can go as much as 10,000 miles on that. I change the oil in my Corolla at 8,000 ... The "maintenance required" light is tripped by mileage, running time, (if it idles a lot) or one year from last re-set
