ABS and ESC lights randomly go on

Asked by arantoun Jan 30, 2022 at 02:17 AM about the 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT8 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone,

I have a dodge challenger 2014 SRT8 6.4L Manual and every few days I can
see the ABS and ESC lights on randomly while driving normally. When I turn
the car off and back on the lights go back off.
No error codes.
attached is a picture of the dashboard when the lights go on randomly.

Any Idea why this is happening?

I would say one or more of your wheel sensors is detecting an issue. It could be the sensor itself or debris around it. You will have to inspect them and or scan for the codes as to which one is the problem. You need a code scanner that can read ABS codes not a generic code scanner.

Thank you Vroom12345 for your response. I know that one of the wheels has a failing tpms sensor. Would this cause the ABS / EPS lights to turn on randomly??
