2014 Equinox radio won't turn off

My 2014 Eqinox had dead battery this morning.  Charged the battery,
openedthe driver's door and found that the radio on (black screen thought) was
even though the ignition was off and car was not running.  Usually opening the
door will turn off the radio after ignition turned off, not doing that now.

I noticed that when something weird like that happens, opening and closing the Drivers door will turn off everything back to normal.

When this happened to me, I replaced ed the battery. It all works well now.
