2014 jeep cherokee 3.2 doesn't start

Asked by buccboy1 Jul 09, 2023 at 04:16 AM about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 jeep cherokee 3.2 that has
power to everything except it won't start it
just clicks at the starter. The battery is
good at 13v even tried to jump start it. The
fuses and relays are good I've used a
jump wire from the starter relay and the
positive side of the battery and just a click
to engage the starter.  Fuel pump is
working as it comes on when starting. Is it
possible the starter or is it locked up.
Pretty frustrating right now. Thanks

Sounds like a bad starter. Try hitting the starter a few times with a hammer. If that gets you going the starter is definitely bad. Hope that helps! Jim
