Jeep Cherokee 2014

I cat start jeep Cherokee 2014 new battery. It
seems the key does not grip like normal when
trying to start does thus mean something has
come lose or the computer chop in key is not
reading or is it the ignition or starter motor.

OK Google I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer I know my starter is good but when I turn the key in the ignition it will not turn over unless I continue to turn it and every once in awhile catches what's wrong with it
