It is kinda hard but they split in half, they say to take it to the dealer to do it tho.

The owner's manual should detail how to change the battery and tell you which battery to use.

YouTube! There are detailed videos with easy step by step instructions on how to change a key fob battery and the replacement battery to use. I relied on a YouTube video last year to change the battery in my 2014 MKZ key fob and it was easy. No need to go to a dealer. If I recall, there was not a specific video for a MKZ but there are videos for other Lincoln and Ford products that use the exact same key fob as a MKZ. It only takes a couple of minutes to check the videos to see which one is applicable.

If you must have a dealer change your key fob battey, you do not have the intelligence or skills for driving a motor vehicle on a public highway.
