I have a 2014 VW Passat and the trunk latch will not release

I can not open the trunk via the door or hood release or key fob.   I can get it to manually release if my 11 year old crawls through the pass through and pulls the manual release.   I checked the kill switch in the glove compartment,  that's  fine, not it.  I can't find any documentation on what fuse # it would be.  I replaced the latch because it was easier than finding the fuse, but still broken.  Any thoughts?

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever figure out what the problem was and how to fix it?
