Take it back to the dealer, since it should still be under warranty.

Thanks, I am just worried that it will happen again on the freeway.
You could always check the bimmer forums and see if anyone else has experianced the same issues.
Most likely a high pressure fuel pump failure, very common with the 35i models with N54 or N55 twin turbo/scroll engines. Dealer should replace it for free, warranty for the HPFP is 10 years or 120,000 miles whichever comes first. Many 35i owners reported multiple failures, 3 failures and you qualify for lemon law, at least in CA.
