is it on auto also setting the e brake might shut them down but you might need a light switch or relay 1st off check to see if you have them set on auto
I have this same problem. First, my headlights would not work but my brights worked-- (pushed forward position of left signal- to flash brights and to keep them on). I opened up the hood and replaced the relay corresponding to the headlights and My headlights worked. But now they will not cut off even when I turn off the car. I now have to take the new relay out everytime I am finished driving. Not to mention put the relay in once it starts to get dark outside. I can live with it, but I am stubborn. These solutions did not work. The problem was relay #46 in the fuse box under the hood. I replaced, and the headlight problem was solved. However, the brake and parking lights still stay on. Am looking for which relay is involved. Overall, the big question is why did the relay fail, It was melted on top. Overheated. But why? Will it happen again. Thanks for any input.
I have a 2005 Gmc evoy xl when I cut the truck off. The lights constantly come on every 10 minutes and go off. The switch want let me turn the lights all the way off
