Small loss of coolant & PS fluid over 6 months

Asked by GuruBTD9N Dec 17, 2018 at 06:38 PM about the 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2014 Nissan Altima. 4 cyl. 40K miles. The coolant reservoir empties over a 6 month period. It also loses about 1/2 oz of PS fluid.  There are no visible leaks in the engine compartment, hose fittings or on the ground. Neither reservoir appears to have a crack.  It does not run hot, nor does the PS system make any funny noises. There is no exhaust smoke. It does not use any oil between changes. It has been on a lift & no leaks were seen. I'm guessing bad radiator cap but seek help.

This does not seem to be a problem. Checking and topping off fluid levels is a part of routine maintenance. Add some coolant and PS fluid and be on your way.
