Take it back to dealer. You have a BASIC 3 yr./ 36000 mi. DRIVETRAIN 5 yr./ 60000 mi. warranty.... unless you have passed the 36k mile mark

I have a 2014 Nissan Altima where my key fab stopped working. It could still be used for manual entry, (pushing unlock button on handle), and it would allow you to start the vehicle, however all remote functions did not work. Yesterday I noticed while checking fluids corrosion on the positive terminal of the battery. I decided to replace battery. I cleaned up the corrosion on terminal, put a new battery in and what do you know? My key fab works.......

My fob did the same thing yesterday. I unhooked and then reconnected the (car) battery and it seems to have taken care of the issue.

I disconnected then reconnected my car battery and now it works like normal.

I found an answer to my key fob issue on another forum, I am so thankful, I will share it.I have a 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5L. All of the buttons on the fob worked, other than the lock button. https://www.nissanclub.com/threads/key-fob-issues-and-the-dealership-fix.465753/#post- 5509330 I got into my car with my key fob Waited for the screen to go black Held the lock button on the key fob Pressed the brake and hit the start button on the car I got the message Wrong key ID There was a picture telling me to touch the key fob to the start button I did it, and I thought it didn't work because I pressed the lock button on the fob and nothing happened We went to the auto parts down the road to get a new battery, and I pressed the lock button and it locked!! I was amazed and so happy I didn't need to replace the fob!

I tried the whole disconnecting the battery thing many times nothing worked. Holding the lock button while trying to turn on the car did exactly as the last person said. It says incorrect key ID then shows a picture for you to hold the key fob up to the start button everything worked used it for both key fobs that were not working

keep having issues with programming and new programmed fobs, new car battery...issues keep re-occurring. Told to go to the Nissan dealership and have them re-programming on car and fob

Thank you for that trick. I have a 2014 Altima. It worked for me by sitting in car holding the lock button & pushing start. Getting the “Incorrect Key ID” alert and pushing the start button with the l remote. Now it works correctly again. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
