Transmission Slipping/Smell like it burning.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In me Expedition when you get under heavy acceleration the transmission slips between shifts it only does this inbetween 1st and 2nd. If it dont slip it smell horrible almost like gear oil. I have lready changed the tranny filter and fluid. Any help would be great.

sorry to say ,the tranny clutches is what you smell burning,it is burned up,a rebuild is in order or a replacement is needed.
