Brought my 2014 Maxima SV in for it's 10,000 mile service and got a poor rating on the rear brakes. How can this be?

Asked by Huskis Nov 03, 2015 at 04:26 PM about the 2014 Nissan Maxima SV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why would the dealership rate my rear brakes at 6mm and say the brakes
need replacing when my maxima is a 2014 with only 10,000 miles on it?

Do you live in the mountains? Drive your car in heavy stop and go traffic? Maybe you are an Uber driver? Or, do you drag race to stop lights and screech to a stop? Seriously, if you don't do any of these things, maybe the problem is that you have defective calipers on your car? That's what I really think is going on here. You may not even be aware of it, it's like driving with the brakes slightly on all the time. Are you getting the fuel-efficiency you're supposed to get?. If not, like I said, it's probably a defective system and they should replace it at NO CHARGE.
