why does my headlights go to hi beam when engaging the right turn signal

when I select the right turn signal, the headlights go to high beam.  when I select the left turn signal the lights operate normally.

Is the switch on bright,or dim when it doe,s this,or will it do it when in both?A lot of gm blinker switch.,go bad over time,may need to replace.
