02 GMC envoy jerks forward when going slow

I have an  02 GMC envoy and it has started jerking
forward when driving slow or putting the truck in
gear.  It feels as if someone has hit me from
behind, its that powerful.  I recently had to replace
the plastic gear piece bc it was stuck in reverse.
Please advise on possible causes or solutions.
