Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gas gauge sits on empty whether the gas tank has gas in it or not, or if the truck is running or off. When I bought the truck, the guy said he replaced the fuel pump, but the gauge still doesn't work.

the fuel gauge has either a float or a sending unit with a wire and connector at the tank. check that track for problems, loose wire, float has a hole in it. Its in the tank. Check it out!
