2014 Nissan Sentra 75mph Issue

I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra with 20k miles on it.
Sometimes when I am driving 65-70mph and need
to accelerate to 80mph the engine seems to rev the
rpms up and down (like a rubber band is being
pulled and let go consistently) and then slower than
a turtle, will gradually climb to 80mph. Keep in mind
it "rubberbands" the entire time it is trying to
accelerate to 80mph. It hasn't done it every time
though, so I'm really confused. I plan on taking it in
to the dealership but wanted outside opinions first.

That sounds like a CVT issue. Nissan CVT's are notorious for problems. I would complain to Nissan and ask for a free repair.

@F_O_R I figured it was a CVT issue, I should also say I love in Arizona, so it could be that it is going into Limp mode, but I haven't had any codes or anything pop up yet. A lot of people say they get a CVT cooler block.

You need exstend beehive cooler the dealer will say the don’t know if it fits. Even thought it the same engine as the rogue. An all rogues have this cooler with the oil coolers. The one it comes with just cool with radiator fluid, an once you add it you need to add a oil extended cooler. Like in the picture. Hit me up on of IG if you have any questions.
