2014 kia optima hybrid

Asked by GuruX79F4 Nov 22, 2018 at 07:56 PM about the 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 kia optima hybrid push start, I recently had a
wiring harness replaced that was vital to the cooling and
engine( I was told it was due to rodents chewing the wires )
Only to have to return less than 4wks later, to have my
battery replaced... Now it's saying something about the
BMS SYSTEM, can anyone tell me if they had the same
thing

There was a recall on certain model kia,s for this, causing over heating in the wiring harness, and the bms is the wiring harness.

The actual problem is the over charging of the system which will kill the battery all so.

BMS, battery management system/over voltage.
