2015 Kia Optima Hybrid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Driving last night and my 15 Optima Hybrid lit up a "hybrid drive warning" and demanded I pull over immediately. Once pulled over, the car would not start after turned off, it kept saying "shift to park to start," and almost every warning light was lit. I had it towed, this morning, it fired right up with only the engine light on, has this happened to anyone else?

This just happened to me on my way to Vegas. I po ullednover, the tow truck guy connects a charger to my battery and it started fine 25 miles later, same thing. I park. Try to schedule a tow. While speaking to the operator, it starts done but with the engine light on. After 68 miles, it does it again. Now it wkmt start but the battery is charged. Waiting for a tow truck.

This happened 2 me too. Took it to the dealership maintenance. Them claiming they "think" they know what was wrong. If they find nothing won't have to pay for diagnostic. Haha 1200 dollars later driving it home(FROM DEALERSHIP) light came on AGAIN! Car ran horrible when my husband dropped it right back off. Was running better before 1200 worth of work. TBC.
I’ve had numerous issues with this. Never had issues with the car until about 62k miles. On Christmas Eve it had hybrid warning light come on car went completely dead. I had to replace a fuse and my 12 volt battery. $400 fix so that wasn’t too bad. Flash forward to May and my hybrid warning light comes on and kills engine but not power to the car. Battery is working intermittently according to dealer. I have had it at the dealership twice in the last week and they’re telling me it’s likely the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. Still under warranty though less than 70k miles on the car.
