2015 Chevy Tahoe - Gas Leak
I have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe. In Jan 30th I
started smelling gas from the inside of the
vehicle. I took it to my mechanic and he
discovered it was the fuel feed line that
had holes in it causing the gas leak. The
following day I had planned to take to
Chevy dealership but I couldn't because all
the gas had leaked so I had to get it towed
to the Chevy dealership. As of today, 14
March, the Chevy dealership has been
unable to repair the fuel feed line. The
dealership had to specially order the fuel
feed line. The last I heard from Chevy
dealership last weekend that the part has
to go back through manufacturing and they
done have a timeframe when the part is
coming in.
I'm outside of my warranty. The truck has
$51,000 miles on it. GM provided me a
loaner vehicle. I got a call today that I need
to turn the loaner back in. I'm not sure if
GM plans to give me another loaner until
my truck is fixed.
I've been a GM owner last 12 years and
never quite had this experience. I feel like
GM should at least provide me a loaner
since they can't give me a timeframe on
part where my truck has been with the
dealership for over a month. It's not safe to
drive my vehicle.
I'm going tomorrow morning to talk to
Chevy dealership. Wondering if I should
hire a lawyer since GM can't give
timeframe on part and not possibly
providing me a loaner any longer.
