Does anyone know about the fitment for ranger tail lights... i've been told that physically any tail light 1993-2005 are the same size and will fit on my 2002 ford ranger edge

That's true, the only difference between the 1993-2000 and 2001-2005 is that the 1993-2000 had a separate bulb for the turn signal whereas the 2001-2005 had the turn signal integrated into the stop/tail lamp.

Years 1993-2000 may all fit, but the lights on the housing are arranged differently. You Just have to match the arrangements of the lights. '93 -backup and turn signal are both arranged on bottom of housing while others- backup is on bottom and turn signal is on top of housing. But the screw holes are the some on both.
