2015 Chrysler 200 not going out of park P0810-00

Asked by Jim May 25, 2021 at 10:59 AM about the 2015 Chrysler 200 S Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Intermittently, the Chrylser 200 won't go out of park.  We shift to drive, it
shifts back to park and says "service transmission" or "service parking
brake".  If I turn off the car and wait 15 minutes, the car runs fine.  The
dealership can't help me because they need the problem to be actively
happening for them to fix it.  It happened Sunday and I had a friend plug in
his machine.  The error code is P0810-00.  Chrysler says that's not enough
for them to go on, they need to run a diagnostic while it's happening.  It's a
catch 22.  Any ideas how i can fix this?

most likely, an aftermarket remote start has been installed. There’s already a factory one (click lock button on keys x3). Mine has this problem when I remote start it and the weather is below 40°F. The aftermarket can actually void your warranty (if applicable)anything happens to anything electrical or in the engine bay. Turn the car back off. Open and shut driver door wait till everything turns off count to 10. Turn back on. Check engine light/service transmission warning will still show. I’ve came to the conclusion that it’s nothing. The parking brake should also turn itself back off. If not, you just have to turn it off like normal. At the end of the work day when I would be getting back in my car, all lights and warnings would usually be gone. And if not by then, they always were the next morning.
