2000 Yukon

My 2000 Yukon started this morning Road 12 to the gas
station I turned it off and won't turn back on like it wasn't
getting gas but I have half a tank of gas I spray starter fluid
and it started but it was like the truck only ran long enough
for the starter fluid to burn off i just tried it this last time i i
start it it backfired I don't know what to do
