As Jim has enlightened me. The PCM kills the motor if there is no oil pressure within a certain run time. Check the oil level then the sending unit. Do not start it until the problem is solved. The oil pressure regulators fail and divert oil to the pan starving the motor. It doesn't take long to score the bearings if you start it dry. There is no easy way to prime these motors without turning them over. This is what I would do. Thread the oil pressure sending unit out and install a 60 psi gauge. Pull the spark plugs. Get a friend to turn it over. If there is no or low pressure you need pull the pan and replace the pump. If you drain the oil and there is metallic particles it's most likely the oil reg. If it is only the sending unit you are good to run.
Oil pressure sensor, Located on the rear left side of the motor - take it off with a deep socket and under that oil pressure sensor there is a oil pressure filter thats the size of your thumb if not smaller , pop it out if its clogged up should look black all around clean it up really good you can use brake fluid and something to scrape the build up on it off, Put everything back in
