Yukon won’t crank

Hi! The engine of my 2000 gmc yukon got
wet from the top. It started three times
since but on the fourth nope! I get
everything working on the dash, stereo,
windows, etc. I hear the fuel pump. No
crank...nothing. I had just driven it for
about 10 minutes, got home and had to
start it again but it wouldn’t crank. The
voltage on the dash usually says around 14
but only shown around 9 when i stry to
start it. Please help!

Let me add that i tried to jump it and still no crank. Correction: The voltage on the dash actually reads right between 9 and 14.

Well. As i suspected, it’s the starter. I very gently tapped it with a hammer about 10 times in differnt spots and it started right up. New project...seems easy to replace or fix.
