then its the switch/conections...
What's the best way to check it?
Blower Motor Resistor is what determines the fan speed. If you have no bad fuses, then this is the likely cause of why certain speeds are not functioning and others operate intermittently. Check the connector that goes into the Blower Motor Resistor as well, as it has a tendency to arc and if the connector is bad it won't be sending the proper signal to the blower motor resistor. This is a little more difficult to fix as it will require some cutting and reconnecting of the wires that go into it. Not all replacement resistors will include the harness/connector portion, so check the connector before you order the part to ensure that you'll have the connector/harness if you need it.

the fan on my 2017 Savana 2500 stops working on high speed unless you contort it. In other words, it is defective or worn out and needs to be replaced. From what I am seeing on the net, it seems to be a common problem that possibly GM should address.
