Under typical driving conditions you should get at least 5000 miles from an oil change. Most vehicles with sensors "watch" your oil and let you know when a change is needed but I will always defer to looking at the oil and my miles to decide without going over the 5K mark.
I suggest setting a schedule of every 5,000 miles instead of using the reminder.
How often do need to change the oil? I read in the manual that the computer will inform me when it is time based on my driving habits, is this true or should I stick to a miles plan?
