Were all 72 endura GTO's and LeMans hood scoops functional Ram Air style ?

Question type: General
I have a 72 LeMans with the Endura styling option. The car was originally a 350 2BBL car, did this car have function scoops from the factory or did GM put ornamental scoops on some of these cars as well ?

Most of the time it was a dealer option or they could have been privately made to be functional . I did it with my 65 gto but i did it according to dealer specs . A 350 2 bbl is not exactly considered high performance . The high performance cars mostly had the ram air option .
I have a 71 Lemans Sport that came from the factory with a 350 2bbl and the Endura option. That option alone only gets the hood with the front vents, but no ram air guts. It was available but like Rucko said, I doubt anyone would have ordered on a 350 2bbl either. It's about $1200 to put it on today, repro parts are readily available.
" It's about $1200 to put it on today, repro parts are readily available." Ram air parts might be available, but a repro steel 71-72 gto hood is not.
I am the original owner of a silver 1972 Pontiac Lemans, 350 V-8, 2 bbl, 2 dr hardtop, that I ordered from the factory w/the Endura (GTO) front end (a $41 option) in the Fall of 1971. I received the car on Dec. 1, 1971. This was my daily driver for many years and, in 2002, at 193,000 miles I had the engine rebuilt. I am a careful driver and the car has never been wrecked or even dented. In 2003 I had the car re-painted, and the interior is all original except for the driver's seat. I have always parked the car in the garage and now I try to drive it once a week, and to car shows. Charles, Houston TX (June 2019)
