1972 Lemans Convertible Hood
The picture shown is a clone GTO, but my question is did Pontiac offer a
endura style hood without an endura package or is this an aftermarket hood? I
have the vin code, but not the build options.
You should order a report from Pontiac Historical Services (PSA).
The Endura bumper and hood with hood scoops were offered as an option on the Lemans Sport in 1971 and 1972. I know since I bought one in 1971. Looked just like a GTO but did not have the same drive train. This is probably a clone GTO that either started life as a Lemans or a Lemans Sport with the optional hood scoops.
Hello @jsamps28 just saw your 2yr old post. Did you ever find that after market hood? I just recently bought a 71 Lemans sport & interested in a hood like that. (Just the hood) which appears to fit a Lemans front end. Been searching with no success.
