1972 Lemans That came with aGTO hood & ft. bumper and grill
I bought a one owner 1972 37 code that has a GTO hood & ft end ( no chrome - just painted).They say it's factory. Was this an Option

Yes, the factory Endura option was available on the 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport hardtop and convertible. I bought our 1972 LeMans Sport Endura optioned convertible from the original owners. This option also has the trans-am style front fender vents as part of the Endura option......this was a one-year only option for 1972. They are great driving cars!
Is it possible to determine if a 1972 Le Mans Convertible is a Le Mans Sport from the VIN? I am considering purchasing one of these, and trying to confirm that it is in fact, a Le Mans Sport.
You should be able to tell from the VIN. I purchased a car almost identical to the one pictured above from the original owner. I also had the original window sticker. It was a 1972 Le Mans Sport Convertible w/ the Endura option. Cardinal red exterior w/ white naugahyde interior. All of the accessories were powered.
