Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got an oil change about a month ago, haven't had any
issues with the car in the 10 months that we've owned it
until now. All of the sudden it starts idling low &
stalls, check engine light came on but scanner says no
code. Gas was about 1/4 tank so bought a good gas
treatment and filled with super. Was alright for about a
week and is now doing the same thing. Oil says it's down to
69% think it definitely has an oil problem. Lost n confused.
May be taking a trip to dealer tomorrow! Any suggestions?

My info says you have tac/throttle actuator control, you don't have a throttle cable from gas pedal to throttle body. It's drive by wire throttle. Your scanner, does it show live engine data or is it a code reader. You might try cleaning the throttle bore and throttle plate with an old tooth brush. Don't force the throttle plate. Could be other issues, I suppose? Just my opinion.

It is a code reader the hubby says,he's pretty mechanical when it comes to cars. But thank you we'll try that!

My car did the same thing a week after oil change, it was a faulty filter leaking oil. Dealership fixed and replaced filter and oil but car hasn't been the same since.

Well right now I am having the same issues except I bought a FIXD scanner and I got 5 codes it said 02 sensor bank 1,also cam shaft sensors but when I took to the dealer they said it was cam sensors not 02 sensors and wanted over 500 bucks to change when the 2 only cost 20 dollars. So I went to another shop and got them changed for 300 then googled and found out it's easy to change yourself if your mechanically inclined. But anyway all the codes are gone except 1.The P011 is still there.I live in Florida and don't go much of anywhere so the oil is supposed to be changed at 5000 miles.Mine is at 28% but it looks very dirty and my miles aren't up.Those cam sensors have oil running through them and if its dirty it will miss and cut off and that's what mine was doing. So even though my miles aren't up I'm getting my oil changed and see if that takes the code away and stops that little hesitate when you take off.If not I have another issue but changing the cam sensors helped a great deal and it needs clean oil to operate right so if your oil is sludgy looking on the dipstick I'd change it.Make sure they us the correct oil too.
