I just purchased a used 2015 AWD Equinox LTZ. When I brake and turn, there is very heavy grinding taking place. Anyone have a clue? U

first pull the wheels and inspect all ...hard to say,even a bearing...take it in for a free brake inspection and report back !

I'm pretty sure that awd system is like Buick rendezvous system! It sucks. You will need to change the rear wheel diff oil, plus add friction mod, the dealer ship will tell u to buy only there oil for system but u be fine wit Royal purple diff lube and the friction modifier! Then drive car in circles for a couple mins. The stiff and grinding noise should be gone. Do it b4 it gets really cold out or your car will really start to buck when turning.
