Your antitheft has been set off. Do you have a key fob to unlock the doors?

First step is to try your spare key. If the theft light is flashing with the key you've always used, it can only be one of two things. Either there is a problem with the chip in the key or there is a problem with the PATS system. There is no way to start it with any kind of reset. If it doesn't start with your spare key, 90% of the time it's the PATS transponder which receives the code from the key. There will be codes stored in the PCM related to this problem. Put your spare key in, turn key on for 4 seconds, see if it will start.

Instructions 1 Open the driver's door. 2 Press the power door-lock switch to lock all the doors, with the driver's door still open. The "SECURITY" light will come on. 3 Close the driver's door. The "SECURITY" light will go off after about 30 seconds. The system has been reset.
