why won't trunk stay locked

You can lock doors wirh push button on outside handles and with inside door lock button, but you can still open trunk by pushing outer lever. whats going on with this? This is a fully loaded model with just about every option you could ask for

not truing to be mean to you..but just take it to the dealer it new and have then explain it to you..
Let me know if you get a working solution. I have the exact same problem. Only way to LOCK the trunk is to flip the switch inside the trunk lid. That's ludicrous.
Yes this is absurd. I just found out about it because someone broke into my car. I'm livid. How can auto makers be this stupid? When I lock the car, I want it locked. The idea of granting public access to your trunk is the dumbest damn thing I've ever experienced with a car.
I have the same exact problem and also found out when somebody broke into my car it turns out when my car is unlocked the trunk is locked but when I lock my car the trunk is unlocked and can be open by simply pulling the handle what a piece of crap design whoever designed that should be fired
