concerning two options on à Camaro RS 2015 that l did not no at all????

Asked by mallbe1757_ Apr 21, 2017 at 09:36 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT Coupe RWD

Question type: General

Good evening my name is Mike from Montreal, Québec,
Canada  l am the proud owner of a brand new 2015
Camaro RS  2 LT (with the 2LT option  completely fully
fully Loaded ( at least l thought???)  l was on a Camaro
site today and there was this guy at home making is
home  made video  and describing is brand new 2015
Camaro RS  2LT exactly like l have , suddenly l noticed
while he was filming is car that is 2015 Camaro RS 2LT ad
on each side of the back of is car two exaust pipes on
each side for a total of 4 pipes (  the owners specifies very
clearly in is video that when he bought the car brand new
in 2015 on the GM dealer's lot  at the time he never made
a case on the 4 exaust pipes but a week after driving the
car somebody approach him also with a 2015 Camaro RS
2 LT  (option pick) and could not believe what he saw  in
the rear of the other guys car 4 exaust pipes when is car
only ad one exaust pipe on each side ???? The guy that
was filming a video of is car said to the other guy that
when he bought the car brand new the 4 exaust pipes
where already on the car nothing was modified , and GM
told the owner that they could not find  the option code
number for this option and that GM never ad produce in
all  of there  assembly lines in 2015 on the Camaro RS
neither in USA  or Canada  assembly lines during  the
year 2015  actually even at GM a plant supervisor never
heard or saw such a option on the RS 2 LT ?????  and thé
owner himself did not modify the car at all ??????  could
you please give me a explanation for this very weird thing,
and at the same time is car also ad a option that l never
heard of before and that even existed under is dashboard
is car ad a led light completely under the dashboard on
each side driver and passenger side a led light that would
change up to 7 colors maximum the driver could changer
the color of the led lights from a button in the rear left
corner inside the floor console he simply ad to push on it
and ajust the color that would convienne him again now
l never heard of such a option and neither did GM ????
again now would you be kind enough to give me a
explanation on this again option??????
PS: just for your information the  2015 Camaro RS that
the guy as live in San Antonio so it was built in a USA
GM assembly Plant , my car was buit in Canada
just for your information , but l really don't think it would
make any difference, and l checked with GM Canada
Head offices and they simply are not aware of such of
this two options and a dealer confirm the same thing.

Yours truly

Michel from Canada

Don't know about the information on exhaust systems, but there is a lot of video on you tube showing 4 pipes, this one says it is a Corsa Exhaust, whether it came from factory, I don't know, check it out.. https://youtu.be/ekS0sNJ80js

That is a 1LE 2SS/RS with a Npp exhaust from the factory . That isn't his car. I have that car. So i am thinking it's an after market exhaust.

It must be aftermarket exhaust, since from what I had seen the exhaust had a name that I am not familiar with.

Okay I understand what you're saying and it is very possible that the actual dealer the car was bought from was trying to sell this car to someone that wanted these options and send it to one of the shops close by and had these options added to this car and the person that wanted it this way did not purchase it and he found this car and purchased it!!! That is the only other thing I could come up with of why this car has options that GM does not offer!! The dealer took it upon himself to add the aftermarket options to try and sell it to an individual!!

Remember these options are not offered by the factory so they are aftermarket so any shop close to the dealer could have added these options for the dealer to be able to sell this car at a higher price!!!
