Thermostat Replaced

I went to get my thermostat replaced. My car was running perfectly fine when
I dropped it off to be serviced. When the thermostat was replaced, all of a
sudden more codes came up about the engine of my car. Long story short,
the throttle body had not been put in all the way and there were brackets
missing. Could this be an error/negligence from the servicing shop when
they replaced my thermostat?
