Used Ford Expedition El limited, Is it worth it?

Asked by Kdubbadubba Sep 09, 2020 at 02:11 PM about the 2015 Ford Expedition EL Limited

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I found a Ford Expedition priced at around $25,000 with the limited package
with 100,000 miles on it. Is it worth purchasing a Full-Sized SUV like this with
so many miles on it?

Properly taken care of an Expedition should be good for well over 200,000 miles. Have a mechanic check it out and check the price on websites like kbb.com, NADA, Edmunds, Car Gurus etc. Get a Car Fax too!

Are the Ford 3.5 V6 twin-turbo engines on the 2015s reliable past 200,000 miles? CarFax on the came back clean with a great maintenance history. The Interior seemed nice just needed some cleaning which the dealer would do. This is my first time looking at a full- size SUV, so looking at a Vehicle that has 100k miles at $25K was kinda a shocker at first. Then I started looking around and saw that the pricing is pretty standard with this class of vehicle. Just wanted to see if anyone has done something similar and what their experience has been.

Do some research on the EcoBoost 3.5. As far as I know they are pretty good and I don't see complaints about them here. One thing about them is you don't save money on gas but the power is good.
