Outback dash lights sudden colour change

I've only had my 2015 Outback Premium a couple of days, tonight the dash
lights suddenly changed from blue to red but only briefly, then went back to
blue. What would cause this?

We had already been on the road for two hours with lights on when this random event occurred.
